Evaluation

A floor-applied sample layout allowed the final color to be evaluated directly on the home's white oak before the full refinishing process continued.
CUSTOM STAIN SWATCH TEST
Several Bona stain colors and blend ratios were applied directly to the freshly sanded 5-inch white oak. Viewing the samples on the actual floor made it possible to compare undertones, grain contrast and depth under the home's natural and artificial lighting. The customer selected the standalone sample at the bottom right: a custom blend of Bona Antique Brown and Bona Cocoa. That warm, rich brown color was then used throughout the finished project.
