New white oak upstairs, refinished hardwood downstairs
New 3¼-inch white oak replaced carpet upstairs while the existing hardwood downstairs was sanded and refinished. We planned the board direction, transitions, stain and stair landing together. Bona White and Sand Dune were blended for the selected color, followed by Berger-Seidle GreenStar in satin.

Installation and refinishing process
We installed the new flooring and refinished the existing floors as one project.
Existing floors assessed
Existing hardwood, carpeted areas, transitions, and connections between levels were reviewed before work began.
New white oak installed
Carpet was removed where planned and new 3¼-inch white oak was installed through the upstairs rooms, hallway, and landing.
New & existing wood prepared
We sanded the new and existing hardwood before applying the selected stain.
Color & finish applied
Bona White and Sand Dune were blended for the selected tone, followed by Berger-Seidle GreenStar in satin.
