MORE ABOUT JOHN & ACCOLADECommon questions
How long does hardwood refinishing take?
Timing depends on the size and condition of the floors, the repairs required, and the selected finish. We explain the expected schedule before work begins.
Do we need to leave the house during refinishing?
That depends on the rooms being refinished, your access through the home, and the finish system selected. We will explain when floors can be walked on and when furniture can return.
What affects refinishing pricing?
Floor condition, repairs, stairs, room access, and the selected color and finish can affect the estimate. We provide the recommended work and pricing in writing before scheduling.
Can you match existing hardwood?
Often, yes. We evaluate the wood species, board dimensions, grade, age, and existing color to determine the closest practical match and explain what variation to expect.
Do you repair damaged hardwood?
Yes. We repair damaged boards and problem areas when the surrounding flooring and underlying conditions allow for a sound repair. The recommended work is outlined before we proceed.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in MetroWest and serve communities throughout MetroWest and Greater Boston. Visit our service-area page or contact us to confirm your location.
Are you insured?
