What homeowners are saying

Google review excerpt★★★★★
“The scope of the job included removing the old kitchen tile, leveling the subfloor, matching the new flooring to our existing hardwood, and refinishing everything for a seamless look. The end result is beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.”

Questions from homeowners

Questions about work in your home

Can old wide boards be restored without sanding away all their character?

We’ll look at thickness, wear, fasteners, and earlier repairs before choosing the approach. We’ll talk through which marks you want to keep and which can be improved. A sound restored floor does not have to look like newly milled wood.

Some gaps in our farmhouse floor are quite wide. Should they all be filled?

We’ll look at board movement and whether the gaps change through the year. Filling moving gaps may not last. Loose boards, persistent openings, and damaged edges can need different repairs rather than a single filler treatment.

Can you replace a split board when the original width is hard to find?

We’ll measure the existing flooring and look at species, thickness, edge details, and fastening. A compatible replacement may need special preparation or sourcing. We’ll explain the options and how closely a repair is likely to blend.

Can you make an old floor flatter just by sanding it?

Sanding can address some surface unevenness, but it cannot correct a sagging support or every irregularity in an old floor. Aggressive sanding can remove too much wood. We’ll look at the cause before recommending flooring work.
