Our ranch has one continuous living and dining floor. Can just the worn traffic path be treated?
We’ll look at whether the wear is confined to the coating or has reached the wood. A narrow treatment through an open area may leave a visible edge or sheen change. We’ll talk through maintenance coating, refinishing, or a broader working boundary based on condition, rather than promising that a small repair will disappear.
We have hardwood in a bungalow but newer boards by the kitchen. Which wood should we use for a repair?
We’ll identify the flooring on both sides and compare dimensions, thickness, and direction before sourcing material. The best repair depends on which run it needs to continue. We may recommend matching one area and using a planned transition, because one type of replacement board may not suit both floors.
Can you look at the floors before we move into the house?
An empty house makes it easier to see the floor and plan access, but we still need to assess thickness, stains, old repairs, and the finish condition. Share the move-in date before scheduling. We’ll explain the scope and when you can use your floors again so furniture delivery is planned around the actual coating system.
The carpeted bedrooms in our cape are on a different level from the hall. What should we check?
We’ll check what is under the carpet and measure the finished heights at the doorways and stairs. A different covering or added underlayment may account for the change. We’ll talk through removal and subfloor preparation before choosing new hardwood, because the installation needs to work with the existing doors and stair connection.
