Hardwood Flooring in Wayland, MA
Beautiful floors, with care for the home around them.
HEPA dust-controlled sanding, premium low-emission finishes, and moisture-tested installation.
Bring new life to the floors worth keeping.
Not every room needs the same approach. In our Wayland project, we refinished the existing downstairs white oak and replaced a separate water-damaged bathroom floor. We’ll take the same thoughtful approach to your home: look at what can stay, explain what needs attention, and help you choose the color and finish.

The boards curled after water got into the house. Can they be sanded flat?
We’ll need to check moisture conditions and the source of the water before deciding on sanding. Flooring that is still changing as it dries should not simply be sanded flat. Some boards may recover; others may need replacement after assessment.
Our basement gets damp. Could that affect the hardwood upstairs?
Moisture below the floor can affect the wood above, depending on the construction. We’ll look at flooring and accessible subfloor conditions before installation or refinishing. The underlying moisture problem needs attention rather than being covered with a new finish.
Can a damaged bathroom floor be repaired without replacing the adjoining hallway?
We’ll check the affected boards and subfloor where exposed, then assess the doorway connection. A contained repair may be possible after the moisture source is resolved. The hallway’s condition and finish determine whether additional work is useful.
How do we know the house is ready for new hardwood after a leak?
A dry-looking surface is not enough. We’ll check moisture conditions in the materials and compare them with the selected flooring’s requirements. Repair and installation timing depend on the assessment, not just how many days have passed.
