Flooring work in occupied buildings

For projects across Greater Boston, the floor is only part of the planning. Let us know about parking, stairs, elevators, building work hours, and any approval requirements when you request an estimate. Those details help us plan equipment access and the sequence of work.

In a condo, rental, or connected living space, the right scope may involve one room or several adjoining areas. We explain where the work can stop, how new boards will meet the existing floor, and when rooms can return to use.

Homeowner feedback

What homeowners are saying

Google review★★★★★
“I'd highly recommend John to install or refinish hardwood floors. He installed new flooring in several bedrooms and refinished the hallway to match and I am very happy with the finished product and he was great to work with throughout the process.”

Greater Boston flooring questions

Can you work in a condo or multi-family property?

Yes. Share the building rules, approved work hours, access arrangements, and any insurance documentation requirements before scheduling.

What should I tell you about access?

Include your floor level, stairs or elevator access, parking options, and any restrictions on deliveries or equipment. We can discuss the practical arrangements before the visit.

Will a repaired area match the rest of the floor?

We assess the species, board dimensions, existing color, and finish. A close match may require work beyond the damaged boards; we explain those limits before you approve the scope.

Can a tenant remain in the property during the work?

That depends on which rooms are affected and the products and work involved. We discuss access, room closures, and return-to-use requirements with the owner before scheduling.
